His background includes negotiating, setting up and maintaining Internet connections, operating systems, physical and virtual servers. He is a level three support technician responsible for the integrity, security and availability of mission-critical hardware, network and server resources and systems.
Active Directory Experience
He works daily in Active Directory and manages onsite and cloud-based Exchange Server environments. His work has always included system monitoring and patching, ensuring up-to-date and secure systems. He is knowledgeable on monitoring and using system logs for troubleshooting and diagnostic work.
Systems Administrator
He monitors and maintains VPN connections, manages user access via security groups and folder permissions and ensures that software is kept up to date and functional within budgetary guidelines. He is also an experienced Linux administrator with enough Apple experience to be able to maintain Macs.
His certifications include A+, Network+, MCP and MCSE (2000). He has formal training in CCNA and VCP technology (see certificates section below), has been using VMWare for about twenty years and has been an MCSE for nearly twenty-five years. He has an Associate degree with a focus on technology supplemented by well over twenty-five years of network, domain and systems support.
A People Person With Technical Skills
Tim says he delights in working with co-workers and end-users who do not understand technical computer jargon. He is a people-person with a lifetime of technical skills, having worked in the technical support industry as a professional system and network administrator for more than twenty-five years, with many years of prior experience in software development.
